Ruchir, 38, was born at Junagadh, a historical city in Gujarat. His Father Late Rotarian Anirudh Jani was a past president of Rotary Clubs of Junagadh & Vapi.
He is a Civil Engineer and a Business associate for BASF Construction Chemicals, where in he has an expertise in specialty products used in the field of construction. He is also into the Real Estate Investment business.
He was President of Interact club and was an active Rotaractor.
He was instrumental in formation of Rotary Vapi Riverside in 2003-04. He was the President of Rotary Vapi Riverside in 2005-06. In this year the club received 16 Awards & Recognitions including Best President.
He is very much impressed by the work of The Rotary Foundation, so during his year as President he worked to raise more than 272 USD per capita in the Annual Giving Program. But this was not all, he made it sure that all the members contribute minimum USD 100. By this The Club received all the Four Recognition of TRF namely, 3rd Highest per capita giving in Dist 3060, 100% PHF Club, EREY Club, 100% RFSM Club. The last two recognitions were only one of 2600 clubs in India and about only 1% Clubs internationally.
Ruchir has served at many positions in the District like Polioplus Coordinator, GSE Area Coordinator, Assistant Governor, Editor of District Bulletin 3060 Express, and District Rotaract Committee Chairman. Currently he is District Secretary & Chairman District Website.
In a short span, in Rotary, he has attended 7 District Assemblies, 7 District Conferences & numerous other District Events. In 2007-08, he was winner of the District “Rotary Quiz”. For the RY 2008-09, Ruchir was awarded with prestigious “Rotarian of the Year” for District 3060.
He is the Founder Secretary of “Rotary Vapi Riverside Charitable Trust”, which is focused on the Permanent Project of Girls Hostel in rural place.
In 2009-10 he was the President of Engineers’ Association of Vapi leading more than 350 members.
Ruchir is married to Sohangi, & they are blessed with two lovely daughters, Priyanshi & Pavitra. He & his wife both are Paul Harris Fellows.
He likes Cricket & Badminton and is an Asian Vegetarian.
